Manly Beach, Sydney

Took these shots of Sydney's Manly Beach on a hot summers day this week

The trees give it a nice ambiance different from other beaches, and some much-needed shade. You get to take a ferry from Downtown Sydney. It's a great little urban district. A few of the best looking women go topless (hey, I'm from the prudish US). What more do you want?

I'm craving to go swimming now!

Not so far away as it will get warm soon here in Texas.

Great to see the photos, and brought back great memory's. For about 5years I lived pretty much right on that beach... well, nearly, it took 36seconds from my front door to the beach.

Loved that area (though the pubs sucked) and these photos brought back great memory's.

I'm surprised to see all the evergreen trees! That current looks strong.... I like the sound of
any beach that advertises itself as "manly"!

Beautiful. Perhaps my favourite beach.

Very interesting to see conifers by a beach like that. You'd expect palms.

Was Manly's sand sifted like Bondi's?

Manly beach was never sifted.

Although you are right. Bondi beach has the most softest sand in the world because the whole beach was sifted in preperation for the 2000 Olympics. Beach volleyballers were commenting how soft it felt.
