HOUSTON | One Park Place | 153m | 501ft | 37 fl | Com

Park Tower Houston

This is a residential tower going up in Downtown Houston (has 347 units). It is being built adjacent to "Discovery Green Park", a new urban park in Downtown Houston (that has spurred many other projects around the park). There will be 22,000 square feet of retail at the bottom of One Park Place.

cheap renders. But I guess it will be a nice filler for the area.

The park was just completed two months ago. It has sparked three more projects: a new 500 foot office tower (Discovery Tower), a 30-story Embassy Suites, and a possible new 1,000+ room convention hotel.

Website + video, Emporis, Update

Wonderful project. I'm in love with classical style highrises, at least if they're done properly.
Let's call it neohistorism. I hope this really is about to turn into a trend in highrise building.

And this one seems to turn out pretty classy

It got a new website, anyway (including render video): www.oneparkplacehouston.com

Emporis page: Clickiclick!

Some update shots I stumbled across at SSP:

June 25th

July 7th

July 28th

Call me dumb but that thing doesn't look 501 ft. Our currently U/C Four Seasons hotel looks like its taller than that according to the renders. Thats probably the smallest "501 foot tower" I've ever seen

I saw the sign about "leasing" ... are these rental units, or is it a condo with some units for rent?

It is a good add to the area density.

I'd expect they're goin to use a proper material for the roof - such as copper, slate, bronze, bricks or even tiles. But the plans rather look like they'd use some sort of metal.
I hope it doesn't turn out to be cheap (colored) blank sheet or something like that.

One of the renders I'm talking about:

They've got a new homepage for One Park Place, btw:
