All that I can say is that it's in Spain - and there's no way that I can get any more specific than that, sorry.

EDIT: Actually, found an article detailing that little crash after a quick Google search. Apparently it's near Lorca - most likely on the A7 freeway (but I may be wrong there).

You haven't used Google Image Search services, have you? If you used it, for me it is CHEATING

Yes, its A-7 E-15 Motorway (Autovía = Autopista = Motorway), but, where exactly? (c'mon, it's very very easy…)

EDIT: Clue: "port"

Nah, I just searched for "Guardia Civil truck crashes" and a few variations on it, and found it that way.

And it's not that easy for those of us on entirely different continents. I did some hunting around in Street View and think that it may be around the Aguilas exit (exit 591), which is consistent with your clue - but I cannot seem to pinpoint the exact location. Will keep looking though.

You're so close to the correct answer…

…and the Exit 591, the road to Aguilas, RM-11 (old C-3211) is the real and genuine Autovia Spanish Standard from the 90's, a cheap and dangerous Dual-Carriageway, like the A-31. And it isn't signed as Autovia, but it is.

Well, the photo was taken in this part of the A-7 E-15 highway, Puerto Lumbreras Link (one of the most important of spain…!) , on the south lanes (direction Almeria - Málaga)

And my Afrikaans is almost non-existent! That's what happens when you're born and bred in Durban...

The Cape province has most Afrikaans speakers, so I thought I just try. It is not that much different from my native language, you know

Because the tarmac is still very black, I thought of a recent project. I found out of the northern road being upgraded in the last 5 years, so I looked on GMaps to find a landscpae which resembled your picture with all those 'little' hills.

Yeah, I know. I only moved to Cape Town just over a year ago - grew up in Durban, where Afrikaans is virtually non-existent. As such, I don't really speak it that well. That being said, it's getting better...

Anyway, back on topic - Peines is (obviously!) correct, so he gets to post the next one.

There aren't many motorways around here, unless if you can say this is a motorway…
