I am proud of being part French!
France is such a diverse and big country (the biggest Western European country) with an ancient history. French people themselves are a huge mixture: "Most French people are the descendants of Gauls (a western European Celtic people), as well as Italic people, Sarmatian peoples (Alans, Taifals), Bretons, Belgae, Aquitanians (Basques), Iberians, Ligurians, Suebi, Saxons, Moors and Greeks in southern France,[28][29] mixed with the Germanic people arriving at the end of the Roman Empire such as the Franks, the Visigoths and the Burgundians, and Vikings known as Normans, who settled mostly in Normandy in the 9th century.[30][31" I don't know if you can find such a diversity anywhere among European people. You also have all different kind of landscapes that you can imagine and different climate zones. Lowland, beautiful Atlantic coastline, stunning Mediterranean coastline, Provence - probably the most beautiful region in Europe, Loir Valley, countless of castles (most in Europe), ancient buildings, vast foods, Alps, Pyrenees, Corsica, Massif Central, fantastic cities, AMAZING food, art, culture, rich history, beautiful langauge, people. weather etc. Vive La France!

I see there is a Wikipedia page in English. It is worth noting that nowadays this abbey is a private property, a museum (works of the painter Gustave Fayet) and hosts the Festival of Music and History every year.
