Hi, I realize that I am probably way too late in getting a good selection of available units in 8 Forbes Town Rd condo BUT I am wondering if there is any chance at all that some 2-3 bedroom units facing Manila Golf Course are available. If not then what is available right now? Any agents or sellers able to respond?
Since there is no available showroom to display finishes and fixtures that Megaworld will use in the interior, any ideas as to the standard/quality to expect upon turnover? Any feedback will be appreciated! |

I am anxious to see the completion of this front facade for the first 7 floors of 8 Forbestown, knowing that there will be 4 floors of above parking space here (2 underground). The first 2 floors will have commercial space, floors 3-6 are parking spaces, and half of 7th floor on the South side are the Amenities. It requires good design to make parking floors look nice from the outside. Most parking floors I’ve seen in Canada just covered it up with fake facade made of glass material, so as to blend with the higher residential floors, and they actually look nice. Consider the parking floors at Parklane across the street – they look ugly from the outside because when you look at it, you will immediately see exposed concrete that tells you it’s a parking area. Looking at the rendering for 8 Forbestown, it appears the parking floors are not completely exposed, which is good, but it is not completely blocked either so as to allow outside air to come in, which is good. So what makes the front facade color bluish? I’m hoping it's not just a matter of painting the cement structure, but some kind of a partial glass covering. It remains to be seen, and hopefully it will turn out nice and blends with the upper residential floors.
It also remains to be seen how the commercial space will blend with the outside street area, which is part of Burgos Circle extension that comprises of outside retail & commercial establishments, whereas the commercial space at 8 Forbestown appears to be indoor (or is it with access from the outside for individual stores)? hmmmmmm... Here is the rendering of 8 Forbestown

I am really impressed with the work of MW recently. After seeign the quality of Parklane and Stamford Towers, I am really curious how nice 8 Forbestown will turn out. If I ever have money to invest again in the future I will try to invest here. Will be looking for re-open/re-sale units for sale when turnover (or after) is near.
I really hope that MW will keep its word and make that lot a lagoon/park. If not maybe a Burgos Circle extension. I would even be happy with a 3 or 4 level parking building. I wish no high rise building get built over there. That would be very crappy for the Parklane and 8 Forbestown units facing the lagoon. |
