Balneario Camboriu Brazil - just 98k people

This city located in Santa Catarina state, has just 98000 people but impressived with number of highrises.

It's such a beautiful city in such a beautiful place... I didn't know BCamboriú was this big, it almost rivals with the state capital of Florianópolis!

BC is amazing!!!!!

It has a beautifull beach, a great skyline and a very blue sea!

It's less than 70 miles from here!

And... in my opinion it's one of the bests skyline in Shouthern Brazil! Just Curitiba and Maringá wins..

My city has 10 times the population, yet it doesn't even have 1/10th of the amount of highrises!

yes it is a resort city
I once heard it goes up to nearly a million people in the summer...
many of those buildings are hotels....and there is also Itajaí its twin city on the other side of the river with more 100.000 people.

Feanor: Most of the buildings are residential buildings, especially the ones on the sea shore. The apartments are usually owned by people from Northeastern Santa Catarina, Curitiba and even some big farmers from Central Brazil who spend summer here.

Nowadays you'll hardly find any apartments under R$ 500,000 on the sea shore, and th R$ 500,000 ones are really crap. Most of the good ones are above R$ 1,000,000 (or US$ 570,000), which is very high for Brazilian standards.
