KIEV | Sky Towers | 210m | 47 fl | 45 fl | U/C

I've decided to open this thread since developer announced the beginning of the construction on their official website and since the developer is listed on LSE I think we can trust him

Short information about the project and renders:

ZAGS is planned as a premium commercial development located on a 0.74 hectare site along Peremogy Avenue in Kyiv. The site is in a densely populated area, close to the city centre and Kyiv’s main railway station. The project is designed to have three buildings, ranging from six to 47 storeys, with a gross area of approximately 215,400 square metres and approximately 170,300 square metres of useable space. This includes approximately 46,300 square metres of income-producing parking space and approximately 7,100 square metres of retail space. The site is also planned to contain a fitness centre, a conference hall and approximately 935 underground parking lots.

Groundworks started in the fourth quarter of 2007 and construction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2010.

The concept design was developed by DLN, Maunsell Aecom, R.A. Heintges & Associates, ACLA, C&A, MVA Hong Kong.

There are just few some construction pictures we have so far, but they are about 6 month old, so they should be doing some ground work right now:

This kind of design sucks. Neighbourhood looks like somewhere in the middle of nowhere...very poor. Actually I think you should first feed those hungry children that you have there in ukraine, then your corrupted business people 'll have a clear conscience to stand crappy buildings like at the pics. cheers

And this comes from a mouth of a Polish? I don't think u are in the position of saying anything like that. Poland isn't that rich either, and u have plenty of hungry children there too. And even if there's poverty in a country, why shouldn't it build something new and develop itself? For example Russia have millions of poor people, yet they still build new skyscrapers and improve the cities by doing that.

Yes, I agree, but Victory Avenue where it's being built is one of the major route in Kyiv and it's not far from historic center. Those commies were built around 70-80 but as you can see on second picture, just arcoss the road there is Ministry of Transport tower, which 28 floors and something about 110 metres:
(Picture made by me )

And also just next to this skyscraper the new twin towers recently have been approved:

So this area will be very much changed in next 5-10 years and I hope those commies will be at least renovated

Yes, it's good looking, but a little overweight from some angles.

yeah Its a guy that got banned already two times from our forum.

I like the design of the first one. I dont like the second though. A lot of work ahead judging by the current surroundings, but its sooo nice to see new developments in Ukraine

Wow impressive!

Those new towers will renew what looks like a really decayed neighborhood.

I also think the city should renew all the infrastructure surrounding those towers such as sidewalks, light poles and such for complementing those nice towers.
