Unknown Prague: Nove Mesto

Here is a few shots of the Prague district of Nove Mesto (New Town). Although full of gems dating back to the 14th century, it is less known than Stare Mesto (Old Town), except for the area around Wenceslas square (which I didn't photographed anyway). This is because a large part of this district is occupied by Charles University campus and hospital, while other parts are overloaded with heavy traffic (and cut across by a central artery). Enjoy

The riverfront

The northern part (around Wenceslav Square, Central Station, Masaryk Station and Petrske Square)

The central part (From Dancing House to Charles Square and up towards Vinohrady)

The southern part (across Charles University campus/hospital, around Emmaus Monastery, down to Vysehrad station, and then up to Karlov with a few shots of the Prague highrises.)

Lovely pics, but I'm sure that area is still known by visitors, at least by discerning visitors who are interested in art nouveau and other later styles of architecture and the ambience it affords.

Carolus: Nice picture mixture . Perhaps, non-Prague forumers would appreciate little destination and architecture comments... PS: The church in Petrska ctvrt and its surround is my favourite place in central Prague.

I'm assuming these are self taken pics, so will move this to Urban Showcase for original photography!
