What is amazing about LA is it is the only megacity in the world composed from the cultures of of Europe, China, Japan, Thailand, India, Europle, Africa, Mexico, Central American, South America and Polynesia.

The polynesians are one of the most overlooked empires. While wussy white people were sailing within sight of the shore they were navigating 1000 mile journeys in the open ocean from island to island in fucking canoes. In fact they "discovered" before columbus and a minimum of 100 years before the vikings set foot on Greenland. Of course they didn't discover greenland but south america.

Hawaii is a remarkable state. The hawaaiins were a remarkable people and the polynesian empire is one fo the most remarble entities in the world.

There is no place ON EARTH that can say that it has it's own culture. How many times have you heard on tv or read in something and heard the term, 'California Livestyle?' Or 'Southern California Culture?' We have our own language. People know exactly what's going on when they hear, 'The 5 is shut down due to a sig alert.' Or, 'Can I have a Double Double Animal Style please?'

Stay jealous. We don't care. We'll just drink a latte. Non fat of course.

I just learned about the "animal style" recently. I'm gonna try it when I'm over there in July.

But..."double-double" is a Canadian thing

britain gave the world punk rock.

you cant claim wine because its made just about everywhere with a warm climate.

you gave us food huh? im pretty sure "food" has been in existance longer than the state of california.

your silly computers wouldnt even run without the software made i washington.

if you are going to claim snowboarding as an extension of skateboarding, then you must realize that skateboarding is just an extension of surfing, a hawaiian origional. (btw, the modern snowboard and snowboard pipe riding was first made and done on mt. baker, washington.)

e-commerce? like amazon.com? also washington.

lets look at some of the products that keep cali running: americas favorite coffee? starbucks=WA

the jet airliners that people flock to california on? boeing=washington

the computer software that makes the world go round?
microsoft=washington

how about GOOD music?
nirvana, death cab, jimmy hendrix, pearl jam, sound garden, the presidents of the usa, the harvey danger, even ray charles got his start in washington.

some things california has that werent mentioned: smog, traffic, gangs, and michael jackson to name a few.

Ha Ha!!! That's funny! Although MJ originated in Indiana and gangs nor traffic nor smog could hardly be of Californian origin alone........doesn't WA have gangs? Or are they all too melancholy?

WA has gangs, but it is to cold and rainy for them to go outside.

when it comes to gangs, california is definatly on the cutting edge. the rest of the country has california to thank for the blood-crypt rivalry. and now cal is the american outlet ma13 or whatever they are called from el salvador that has been named the new deadliest gang in america.

California just isn't doing it for me anymore. The climate, scenery, diversity, culture, hipness, cutting-edge style, and innovation here suck ass!

I'm moving to Washington.

sure you got us on the climate, but at least its not hotter than hell up here. lets be honest though, the northwest is just as competitive in the rest of those fields.

I don't know.
But honestly, was that a serious question? I thought it was so stupid you meant for it to be a joke, but the more you post, the more i think you were serious.
