Pages 109 and 110 have lost of new exclusive images on the recent progress of the Nehru National Stadium in Delhi. Take a look:

Suppliers of these images are Indian Rockstars and Abhishek901.

And anyone notice that this stadium has been likened to an all-permanent version of London's Olympic Stadium (in full capacity)?

Don't bother rushing to finish now, the English team is pulling out of the event. Then the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish will follow.

Maybe the Isle of Man contingent and Jersey will show.

That's by no means certain, and besides which, the English CWGF have issued a denial.

Anyway, this thread is about the stadium, not the Games or the stories behind them. I think there's already a Skybar topic on England's participation in these Games, so it doesn't need to overspill into this thread.

Doubt they will be finished on time. They have left their run too late.

What is the anticipated usage of the stadium after the games? Will it become a cricket ground, or just a white elephant?

3 October and 14 October 2010...that's a lot of time, but judging by the pics I am afraid too they won't finish it on time

I don't believe in western propaganda and I believe India's infrastructure will be ready to host the best Common Wealth Games ever.

Lol, blame it on the west! This project's cutting it fine, even Indian media admit that. I hope they pull it off, but it's certainly not Western propaganda that they're behind where hosts ought to be only a few months out.
