fingers crossed in a few years time we will see two clusters start to emerge one around beetham and one around piccadilly, and we can all visit the penthouses on our flying pigs!

If you don't know the site there is a canal to the right of that big warehouse that is above the lower street level where the arches are. Its quite abig job in its self.
Images above taken by JRB are from about a week or so ago, these are todays images taken by Jon Reid.....

I'll give you twenty bucks for it c_t. Deal?

Although it doesn't look like anything groundbreaking it has good massing and hight, so all in all a thumbs up from me.

Good to see my photos on the World forums!

It's slow progress so far, the arches still need to be demolished, etc. But once construction itself starts it'll fly up.

Its ground breaking for Europe and the UK. Look around the UK and main land Europe and you will only find a handful of sites outside the capital cities with buildings going up that are this tall.

What a cheek! coming from Rotterdam! you love your boxes!!!

Anyway I think its great for the UK & there's lots of scope for this tower to have many friends built arount it and else where in central Manchester.

i don't like the shape of tower!
Good idea to divide it in three but the shape is too classical!!! like a lego.

I think they are necessary and this why people come to this site. Its all good talking about it but alot of people want to see images. (there isn't anything going on?)What are you going on about? There is loads going on, don't you look at the images. Its a fact that atm this building is the tallest U/C in the United Kingdom and not many people seem to be taking notice. There are lots are other buildings U/C in the super talls forums and the lack of photos is a joke, you should be thanking the Manchester formers for the mass of photos and they will be loads more over the next 2 years or so.

I thought the 225m 122 Leadenhall building in London was the tallest U/C building in the UK right now or did you mean outside London?
