Center Pointe Apartments

Here is a mixed use development in downtown Redmond that looks like it will finally start construction this spring.

I was wondering when that was going to happen. They demo'd the last building on the block last week. It will be good to see that hole that has been there for years that was a contamined soil site finally get built on................that means there will only be one more site to build on before Cleveland St will be a solid wall of apartments from Redmond Wy all the way to 164 st on the south side of the street

"Centerpointe" sounds like some kind of office campus.

That's what I figured, though searching the address shows it's actually down the street past Matador.

Center Pointe Apartments

This will be between Matador and Hobbytown and 164th ave will connect to 76th street. The other vacant lot next to The Cleveland condos is another planned 6 story apartment building but I believe it is still on hold.

I think the Center Pointe project is about to start. They just put up the name (which I forget at the moment) of the construction firm that will be doing this complex.

Elan Town Center

I drove by yesterday and noticed the sign. The name of the project has also been changed to Elan Town Center. Not sure what I think about that. Here is an updated rendering.

Redmond Square Apartments

Both buildings of the Redmond Square Apartments are now topped out at five stories. Very nice looking project.

Which part of the site is this on? I understand the decision to allow the trees to come down but with so much of Overlake an ugly mess it's a shame this is where the density is going to start. Kind of out of the way.

Neither of these are located in Overlake. Both are in downtown Redmond. Elan town Center is located next to Redmond Town Center at: 16355 Cleveland St.
The Redmond Square Apartments are at: 7977 170th Ave. N.E.

I really like everything that's happening in Downtown Redmond. I wonder, with all of this development, could the ridership potential for the couple-mile East Link extension to Redmond Town Center go up enough that it would become a top candidate for federal funding?

They have dropped off some excavating equipment at the Elan Town Center site so construction should be starting very soon

I noticed an ad sign for an apartment on the NE corner of Redmond Way and 166thm the lot with the church and also across the street from Frankie's. Although the sign has been up for at least a year, is there any info on that particular site?

I think that sign isn't for an actual project just an example of what the space could look like if developed.

A couple years back I had talked to the guy who owns that used vacuum cleaner business and when the last building cycle was in full swing there was a plan to build that apt building but now that sign has stayed there in an attempt I believe to sell the property with the purpose that jakoshi just mentioned. I want that6day mattress place gone and something else put there, something that could promote a place to go or pedestrian traffic. While I am at it the nails place across Cleveland from the Matador I wish they would strip off that grey metal siding. I bet there is an old brick building underneath .

Not brick, but certainly used to look better:

It's currently one of the ugliest buildings in Redmond.
