One of the reasons why I liked living in Eastgate is that. Actually, that's the only reason.

Don't know if this has been posted here but there's a "Wine Village" going up in Woodinville.

I was looking at that a little while ago. It's pretty cool! Multifamily urban-type development going up in an area that currently has nothing even close to urban. I think it's replacing a strip mall.

I think the only part of the project moving forward right now is the single-family houses along the river... The rest of it is planned for the future.

The townhouses near the Safeway in Sammamish were collecting weeds for, like, 2 or 3 years, then about a year ago they sprang to life and some got built, but recently I went by there and it has died again.

Strange history of that project. Would be interesting to find out the details of the latest delay.

Reminds me of a smaller Kendall Yards project that's going on in Spokane along the river.

I heard that the Sammammish City Council just decided not to permit any kind of density in the Sammamish Town Center project... http://www.pnwlocalnews.com/east_kin.../84659762.html. They've been planning this for years, I don't understand how all of a sudden they can just say, "Oops, no, we actually don't want to create a dense, vibrant town center." One of the City Councilmen suggested that they build density around Pine Lake Shopping Center. But this is the town center, there's no plan that's been going for years for density at Pine Lake! Ugh. Most suburbs are starting to do real well with their town center plans, but I guess Sammamish is lagging behind...

They haven't changed the Sammamish plan at all. Some of the landowners wanted more density than they had been planning for and the city council said no.

I would have preferred they allow the density increase, but I guess I don't care that much. The Pine Lake area has the city's transit center, so they should certainly plan for and allow more density in that area regardless of what they do with the town center.

The old strip mall Redmond Square that housed the auto parts store looks like it will be demoed. All the stores have moved out. It is located where Cleveland Street becomes one way east bound and is right across the street from where 2 rather large condo buildings are being built. If they develop that block into more 6 or 7 story condos it sure will be giving dt Redmond an urban feel.

I think that's where the new downtown park is going to be.

Yes you are correct. There will be a new park there. I'm thinking they are going to have to start building some more on the north side of Cleveland though, or else it is going to look quite strange

Another interesting project in downtown Redmond at 15815 Bear Creek
Parkway:

http://www.weberthompson.com/stelvio.html

I also noticed a sign at 16450 Redmond Way that appears to be for some sort of new development, but I was driving and didn't get a good look at it.

Here's a quick look at the sign from Streetside, but I can't read it: http://www.bing.com/maps/explore/#/r2kbtborwyf8tkws

This is all I can find on Google about it: http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/16454...ay-Redmond-WA/

I like it! It reminds me a bit of Mosler Loft.

Interesting project in Redmond. Yea, it looks bit of a shorter version of Mosler Lofts.

Ooh. Downtown Redmond's getting nice. Best part is, they've got a little British goods store, where I can get my fix of Irn Bru, the world's awesomest soda, while coming in on the bus and checking out all the development.

I see they have put up a fence around the Redmond Shopping Center that will be demolished for a new city park. This will look great as it gets rid of that ugly strip mall that had the auto parts store. What I am wondering now is across the street on Redmond Wy they just put up another fence around half a block and I saw the stores moving out all their stock, what is the plan for that block?

I was driving through dt Redmond today and see they finally demoed the strip mall that had the auto parts store and are moving ahead to punch through a street and add a park across Cleveland St from those new condos underconstruction. Plus further down Cleveland there is a big remodel going on where City Pizza and some other businesses were located. The whole area is starting to look a lot better.
