I guess Houston is what you get without zoning ordinances and rampant uncontrolled development. Not my kind of city but good quality photos.

i love the skyline shots, but i must say the close-ups don't make Houston look very good on ground level...

Looks like Tampa but it certainly is a hell of a lot more fun than Tampa. NRA signs, megachurches, dirty bookstores, bustling gay bars and tex-mex.....gotta love Houston/Galveston.

Kinda looks like New Orleans. Very cool vibe. I'm planning a trip there later this year. Can't wait.

Greens, are these your own photos? If so I will move them to the new Urban Showcase section for original photography.

Isn't this the old Enron building? I remember seeing it on the news when Enron collapsed and I still remember it, because I thought the bridges were really awesome :P

Anyway, Houston's cool. Thanks for the photos. I'd love to visit one day.

Hey Greens, when spring arrives, go back out and cover some of the more landscaped parts of the city. Yes, I know many will begin to scream about the sprawl and suburban nature of the city, however one of my favorite things about Houston is it's different faces.

Give it 20 or so years and it be a different city. That goes for all sunbelt cities.

Great pics Greens! Nice to see something other than Downtown! The thing I like about places like Houston, or say... Tampa. Is that there is a lot of diversity, a blend of new and upscale with the old and run-down. I like this picture the best...

It's definitely more impressive than I imagined! I pictured it as being a modern, sterile collection of shiny buildings, parking garages, identical suburban homes, landscaping, and shopping malls. But these pictures show real depth of character and interest. Very underrated.
