When is this timeless beauty scheduled to be completed?

I noticed they still haven't put up the "bronze fins" in the crown yet. I wonder if they scrapped those.

I have to think they'll be the very last thing to be installed, but there's no way they just leave those open gaps onto the mechanical floors.

They could wind up being simplified, although I hope not. The crown as rendered here is far and away the best part of this tower (couldn't resist a re-post, since it's kind of an agonizing wait):

if I were unfamiliar with NYC at 1st glance I would have thought this was originally built the same time as ESB and Chrysler, then overhauled recently. Its definitely a nice addition along with all of the new more modern styled buildings.

The setbacks at the top aren't as pronounced as I hoped.
If it tapered to a finer point at the top it would have been better.
IMHO

The metal screens on the crown are the same dark color as the screens on the base. It'll just look like black voids from far away. Oh well.

It means a lot to me if you answer

Edit - Or is that your genius photography skills?

NYCrulz You made me laugh. It it's a combination of the right weather conditions, lighting and me being picky about what gets in the frame. That's a nice photo but most times things are not always right. My images look too similar to another blog so I want less like these. Trying to change my style.
Thanks for the kind words.

This tower is worthy of the style. It's a revolutionary breakthrough in bringing back American architecture.

What is the correct floorcount? Wikipedia says that the building has 82 floors, not 67.

Wikipedia is not an official source. Skyscrapercenter also says 67 floors.
