Regarding 99 Church St it would be good if a render was provided by Silverstein or the architect showing the tower from another angle. The building appears slim in these renders, but that's all we've got to go on. We don't know yet if it is to be square or rectangular. To use an extreme example, the GE (ex-RCA at Rockefeller Centre) building looks quite different when viewed side-on to front-on.
Well judging by the size of the site, i'd say it's a touch over twice as wide as the elevation in the rendering, but not over 2 and a half times, basically the same length as Woolworth's, Broadway elevation

I know you're not really supposed to quote pictures, but this deserves to be posted twice.
I love this tower's slenderness, not to keen on the very top but the fact that that the developer (for once) has actually decided to use stone really helps it to amalgamate into the area, respecting the the elegance of the Woolworth.

Something that the near by Barclay tower (completed only recently) has failed to do.

Barclays all around shape reminds me of Cityspire. Forget the crown for a minute. Anyone else agree?

Yes, i would agree with that, i personally think the Barclay has a better crown though, but i also think the Barclay would have better with less horizontal emphasis.

But i also like the Cityspire's windows and floorlines, although i don't think that they would work well with the Transportation building and the Woolworth building as neighbours, for the reason stated above...

the rendering is one of the best i've seen new york is goin to be great once all the WTC are all top out, this building not really my type and the size seems a bit small (not height wise) but it does sync in with its surroundings so can't wait till construction starts around june
