it's in the U/C section now

Will there be a live cam for this?

This building should start rising very fast as it's supposed to be complete by Jan 2015... I'm guessing this will start rising within a few weeks, so a crane should be on site very soon!

Great update courtesy of ZippyTheChimp on WNY. Another day, another 200+ meter building for New York.

I am positive that this tower will be an instant success story due to its classic NYC skyscraper appearance. Truly magnificent style!

This and 50 West will be great addition to Lower Manhattan's skyline! 22 Thames and 80 South Street on deck.

Thanks.

I hope the crown isn't asymmetric... It totally ruins old fashioned style buildings when they look incoherent in such a way.

I'm sure they have thought of this, it's typical for this style.

Does anyone know why they're using that crane?

Normally those types of cranes are HUGE! can reach upto around 180m tall

they used one for the helicopter crash in London, and use one at the Power Station down the road from me which towers above the majority of the chimneys

This tower is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see it rise above street level. Ipll be happy to make a progress diagram for it though I do have one question. What is the exact height? The thread says 286 m while the SSP diagrams say 282 m

it had a slight height increase from what we can gather
so 286m it is

It only needs another 14m height increase.

So glad to see the construction.
