I would love to one day see a Robert AM Stern Tower the size and girth of the WTC rising somewhere in Midtown or Lower Manhattan. It would be fantastic.

I love this building! It looks like it could have been completed right around the same time as its' neighbors, ie. the American Intl. Building.
It's so refreshing to see a building not clad in glass, and I hope to see more like it in NY in the future.

Looks fantastic! The only thing stopping this building looking like its decades old are its proportions giving it a futuristic vibe

This building will probably do a One57, it'll be one of the tallest in the area, and will be highly visible from most areas but won't stand out substantially, instead it just subtly builds the skyline upwards

It's a good thing that 30 Park Place blocks the semi-ugly Barclay Tower from some angles.

If only it would block the fully-ugly 1WTC spire.

Constructions on a very dense area can be adventurous. Everything must be in the right place at the right time.

I know art-deco IS NYC, but I would love to see Stern design different classical styles for a future tower. For example, a gothic or art-nouveau style tower with more ornament. I'm sure he is capable of designing something more flamboyant, it's just costs that are the problem I presume. Art-deco is nice, but it is still a rather plain style overall.

Will go through the proposed section for the others later today.
Here you go, I put 80 south street and 22 thames street as well... Btw I have no idea how the east side of 22 thames street will look; I just hope it's not a blank wall especially with the views it will have of the financial district. I went with a Rafael Vinoly 432 Park type look(since same architect)...I hope they have something better planned for that side

Lower Manhattan is looking bright!. I can't wait to see these in the skyline and the other proposals!

Nice! Thanks for this.

This was such an awesome pic posted yesterday by time mag, I marked all the significant projects on it that will be rising around 1 WTC & 4 WTC.

22 Thames, 50 West, 30 Park Place and 101 Murray are so close to WTV, you could consider them being as extension to the complex.

200 Greenwich | 1350’
175 Greenwich | 1170’
80 South Street | 1018’
30 Park Place | 926’
22 Thames St. | 882’
101 Murray St. | 860’
56 Leonard St. | 821’
50 West St. | 783’
55 Broad St. | 742’

* Honorable mention – 227 Cherry Street

There will also be a construction just across the street from 22 Thames.

Ohh ok if you talking about the high school at 90 trinity place which is directly behind 22 thames; then it makes sense. That thing is an eyesore and needs to go

Nice! Base done; now the tower from here on out. Not a lot of complexity in the design just some slight setbacks, and notches here and there, it should rise quickly

Actually the one in your photo isn't half bad. But the planned site is currently vacant, along with another building covered in black sheeting.

Is it me of has the podium changed slightly compared to those renders?

Both have 5 floors BUT the the top floor sets back after 4 floors and is only 1 floor

Whereas in the render it setsback after 3 floors leaving 2 floors sitting above before the tower section

Even taking into account the double height floor on the second floor it doesn't add up...

The first floor on the render is double-height, too. What's built matches the render.

Look at the floor count where the corner setbacks on the 3rd floor are compared to where the tower starts

The material itself looks a bit weird. Slightly Dubai-ish.
Hopefully it'll turn out better in reaity.
