you can get a good sense of scale out of this photo. Skinny, but it will eventually be tall. It also seems that it's winning the race between 56 Leonard.

Seeing the pictures on this thread inspired me to go down and get video of the construction. It's short but you'll see footage of the construction from across City Hall Park, closeups of the limestone cladding being installed, and its visual relationship with the Woolworth Building and the new World Trade Center. http://www.newyorkandbeyond.com

Been a while since we've had an Earthcam update.

You can see 56 Leonard just behind on the left. Also on far left you can see 10 HY and Atelier II.

There's no activity. No workers. The pump is all folded up. The crane is wound up. I wonder why.

minus the surrounding modern towers and if it were steel instead of concrete, you might suspect this tower was rising in the 30's.

The trees are looking good! (except the ones closest to 1WTC, which I suspect has something to do with chlorinated water and possibly nearby construction)

Great Pic!...56 leonard street 13 floors to top out and 30 Park Place 17 floors to top out. Should be interesting which one tops out first; likely still 30 Park Place

Whenever they'd like to install the glazing... that'd be great.
