In 20 or so years the postmodernist generation should become professors and re-introduce proper techniques for detailing and create actual-well designed buildings using them, instead of the ugly kitschy neoclassical attempts of the 80s and 90s.

Bonus shot of the train station. This will be one of the world's greatest icons. It is stunning.

The fountains are amazing too.

I think the glass will go up really quickly. Quite possibly one floor every day or two. They're just windows, not curtain walls. Maybe they're waiting until a point when they can start installing windows and not have to stop and wait for construction to "catch up."

What's up with that one column on the south side that gets wider for a dozen floors or so then gets narrower again?

I think itīs about 215m tall, 56 f. and about 16 floors to go. There will be 72 floors, not 82. NY architects canīt counting floors (same like for WTC1-FT).

Installing glass later also reduces the risk of breaking a couple of windows.

It looks like they've slowed down constructing the tower so the facade can catch up.
