Where's the pic Oasis-Bangkok posted taken from? The foreground doesn't mix well with the background at all.

30 park when finished is going to look like it's been in NYC since the days of 70 Pine et al.

That was taken from Chinatown. A little more than a kilometer east from this tower.

I'm having trouble uploading a screenshot, but it looks on the webcam like some of the scaffolding on the top was blown over by the winds.

I disagree completely, shots like this with the contrast are what is so great about NY.

A run-down neighborhood is great? Please... It's not like NYC is the only city with this contrast anyway.

I'm actually surprised there's still shit graffiti like this after Giuliani. Oh wait... Bill de Blazing Idiot has no intentions of keeping the city clean, because all he cares about is bashing the NYPD for making the city safe the past twenty years.

Yes when Guiliani was mayor we could eat off the street and there was a rainbow every morning. I remember one of Guiliani's FIRST actions of mayor was to piss off the NYFD cause he wanted to shut down the fire call boxes....

Political nonsense shouldn't really have a part in these forums. Especially the most mal-informed and nonsensical political views. This isn't the first time Regenthouse has made his or her strident opinions known.

Says hateman, who quotes a dictator.

Regardless, politics is impossible to keep away from in the realm of urban planning.

I had to chuckle a little when you said "his or her."
