Even Kim Jong-Un himself wouldn't be able to remove all graffiti and keep it from reappearing in a city that size.

Nor would he care about the quality of life of his people. They never bothered removing the graffiti from inherited East German trains, apart from covering some of it with pictures of Kim Il-sung.

Wow that scaffolding is meant to withstand the winds up there at 900ft. For the scaffolding to blow over the wind must really have been intense.

I wish 225W57th could rise as fast as 30 Park. This tower shot up.

It's hard to tell but it looks like there's still rebar set up for more columns. There might be one more level to go. We'll see soon enough.

I didn't necessarily say ALL of Chinatown is run-down, but the foreground of that picture looks awful. What does 42nd Street have to do with this neighborhood?

I am impressed how this one is turning out. The silhouette of this building and how it relates to the downtown skyline looks stunning! Can't wait for it to be fully cladded.
It surpassed my expectations and clearly put it in my top 10 buildings u/c in the city...and that's a tough list to get in lately.

Why not. That contrast of old and me characterizes NYC.
