Looking at Culwulla's great diagram Russia Tower and maybe Chicago Spire look like they could throw a spire or antenna up to take 0/A Tallest if they wanted ?

Is the Spire already going up (I mean, above ground level)?
Russia sure seems keen on greatness... Two buildings there!

Chicago seems to OK spires or antenna's later??? Not sure if the present antenna on either John Hancock or Sears were the ones on the original approved plans?...Not that there is anything wrong with that.......

Can someone with enough free time make a list of the top 10 tallest skyscrapers on the 31.12.2008, at the end of 2009, 2010 and 2011? I think we have enough data to make such a list.

the most impressive thing is for me that taipe 101 will be probably no longer in the top ten in 2012.....2008 still the WTB and 2012 not even in the top 10!!!!!!!!!!!

the top 3 tiered section of Russia IS basically a spire structure.it rises approx 100m above its roof.
see pic>

as for Chicagos spire, it was originally 450m with a spire totallying 610m,which was height limit in USA. Its now 610m to roof, so cant really go any higher.
