Baltimore Westside Photography
Hello,
This saturday or sunday, I should be photographing the west side of downtown Baltimore (W. of Charles), and I would like to know, are there any other areas, that you recommend I photograph? I am already planning to photograph: Martick's on Mulberry The Former Marconi's on Saratoga Eutaw and Howard Streets from Pratt to Franklin The Mayfair Theatre on the righthand side of the Congress Hotel Are there any other places on the west side that I should take pictures of? Also, are there any places that are covered by trees that I should take pictures now before they are obscured by foliage? Thanks |

The "Super-Block" maybe. Lexington Market maybe also.
![]() I also wonder if there were any tall buildings that you would be able to go up. Perspectives from different vantage points, albeit tower height or street level, is always interesting to me. Plus I love street shots from the ground level looking up. Totally awesome. Some forumer done that on his trip to San Francisco, and it was some of thee best photos taken of that beautiful city. ![]() I hope this helps. And, thanks so much for taking your time out to do this!!

Are there any vantage points of downtown from north-west of DT where you can see it from high ground? This would interest me, although I'm not sure if that's what you are after. If someone else could recommend a spot of elevation to me though, I would be interesting in shooting from there.

Yeah, I was thinking of that too. Not sure what tower/building or land elevation would be best. Maybe on top of one of the Charles Apartments?

This morning, I took pictures up and down Howard and Eutaw streets along with Martick's on Mulberry and Marconi's on Saratoga. I will post it in a seperate thread when the pictures are uploaded. Its a lot of pictures and even with broadband it will take about a day to load them onto Flickr and then post them onto my blog, but it should be done by sunday night, so stay tuned. My next photographic set should be of the Inner Harbor/Financial District.
