The main dial on my XTi is not responding very well. Does anybody know what it could be?
Also, I dropped my new 50mm lens, so I will probably need to get a new one!

Yea, the camera is still under warranty. Will send it in soon. I didn't do anything to it, didn't drop it or anything. Was just in Montreal on a cold day, and the main dial was not doing anything.

As for the lens, we were in a casino, so I gave it to my friend to put in her purse, somebody bumped into her, and she dropped it. I only got it in January! Sucks!

It's too bad you live in Canada. I have a mint copy of the 50 f/1.8 II that I'd be willing to sell you for $30 USD. She's barely six months old.

Damn!!! You need really big muscles to carry this gear around. Not to mention the time you need to put them on and off!!!

I also own this camera since last week. I'm very happy with it in day (as it is my first DSLR and upgrade is great!) but I'm not seriously tested out in night yet.

I just upgraded to a 5D as well from a 20D. I'm amazed by the ISO performance and colour. I like to make pictures when it gets dark and can now make pictures that were impossible in the old days.
