Right now it looks really awkward but that place will have some of the tallest buildings in the country in the coming years. Cant wait.

I just hope they're not only tall but beautiful also. I'd rather have 10 beautiful skyscrapers than 20 ugly supertalls.

20 ugly supertalls will still look amazing at night. They might be an eyesore during the day though. Just sayin.

But yeah I prefer the first too.

I don't understand why we paint our buildings. Anyways, they should just attach a spire to Gramercy to attain that supertall status But it looks like a supertall to me, esp with those shorter towers surrounding it

Perhaps because glass cladding is more expensive? Hehe.

Would a spire look out of place on it though? And I love the painted buildings.

It makes logical sense. Metro Manila has little land left, developers would be looking towards the sky for future projects.

I got an excellent view over this one from my office at the 37:th floor in the GT Tower. Gonna see if I bring my camera in to the office to take a few pics.

I doubt the feasibility of a subway system for Manila. For one, we're below sea level. For another, it would be too costly to set-up a subway system. Personally, I support the BRT Model of Curitaba, Brazil. Costs way less than a Light Rail System and easier to implement.

No, going back to the topic... Any word on whether Gram will reach the elusive supertall status?

Considering much smaller cities have subway systems I would disagree, but I want to stay on topic so I leave it at that.

Never said that size was the only factor for Metro Manila, nor did I even mention it. If size was the only consideration, Cebu, a much smaller, albeit Metropolitan area could have its own subway, but it doesn't.

Manila's flooding problems and the amount of money to be spent for an underground system prevents Manila from feasibly having one.

But yeah, going back to the topic.

Do you mean to say that countries around the ring of fire and typhoon belt can't have subways? Of course they can. Tokyo and Hong Kong come to mind.
