hi guys! im just new here and i want to join this forum.
BTW, VSMMC is funded by the National Government, under DOH. The congress already approved to increase its bed capacity to 800, but they are still looking for more funds. For now their budget is only for 400 beds, but their census would reach to 600-800 patients a day. sometimes there are 3 patients in 1 bed, and they use the lobby also becuase there is a shortage of rooms. |

Sorry. I thought our new hospital is bigger than VSMMC. Our province is one of the benificiary of the services of that hospital but now ZANORTEANS will not need to go in Cebu to have their treatment. May I know if VSMMC has an MRI machine since my mother was not admitted there during her illness instead she was diagnosed in Chong Hua Hospital?

@zoroethgenre. Nope. ZANORTE Medical Center is more advanced than hospitals in Zamboanga City since our Regional Director of DOH which is base Zamboanga city state that in the news. It is more advance considering the diagnostic machines our governor bought which is the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) costing almost 100 million.

The original Vicente Sotto was the grandfather of tito and vic. He was a senator, so was his brother Felimon. He was the most formidable political enemy of sergio Osmena (the former president) in Cebu. There are streets in cebu named after them. He had about 25 children (if i remember right the article on him by writer Resil Mojares).

First in the country M3 DIALYSIS CENTER AT CSA-B By Edith B. Colmo First school-based dialysis center in the country, is the M3 Dialysis Center at Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B), of which the ground breaking ceremony was held yesterday after the signing of memorandum of agreement between M3 Medical Management Services and CSA-B. Signatories to the said MOA were Fr. Mamerto Alfeche, president of CSA-B, and Mrs. Srihari Vemuri, president, M3 Philippines, with Dr. Ramesh Vemuri, president, M3 Medical Management Services Group International, based in Chicago, Illinois. Witnesses were Fr. Dennis Cuervo,VP-Academic Affairs, CSA-B; Jay Castro-nuevo, Country manager, M3-Philippines, and Dr.Raul Banias, presidential assistant for Western Visayas. M3 Dialysis Center will provide actual training opportunities to the nursing, medical technology, engineering and other allied courses of students of CSA-B, at the same time offer lesser cost of medical services to the community. M3 Dialysis Center rates: in Manila the patient pays P1,500.00 per session, and in Iloilo, P1,800.00 per session, very much lesser than any dialysis services in the country. The two-storey M3 dialysis center building costs P10 million, to be constructed starting next week at the 400 square meter lot in front of CSA-B. M3 Medical Management Services will rent it in 10 years. 15 units of dialysis machines with one bed each coming from the United States of America will be installed once the building construction is finished in August this year, according to Manila based Architect Richard LL.Cano. The roofing will be long span prepainted GI sheets, and the parapet walls are aluminum panels. According to Castronuevo, each Critline dialysis machine costs US$24,000. It monitors while the patient is being dialyzed, and givenemergency measures before manifesting any symptom. This is the latest dialysis machine in the US which is being used by top rated hospitals in the globe. Mrs.Vemuri said CSA-B has established excellent relationship with M3, hence they decided to open the school based dialysis center. It has dual purposes: expose the students to the actual dialysis machine used in America by the medical agencies, at the same time hire the nursing and allied courses graduates of CSA-B for placement in various dialysis centers worldwide. While on training at the M3 dialysis center at CSA-B, the trainees will be paid as regular employees for rendering dialysis services to the patients. “We prefer Filipino workers because they are responsible, freidnly, adoptable to any situation, hardworking, well-liked by other nationalities, and trainable,” Mrs. Vemuri said. Shealso said, other dialysis centers of M3 are non-school based, first in Manila, second is in Iloilo, the third is at CSA-B. Here, Dr. Robert Myer, a psychologist partner of M3 will take care the early stage of the center and train the CSA-B students. Fr. Alfeche is grateful to the Vemuri couple having selected CSA-B as site of dialysis center because it is a rare opportunity for the students to get hands on training with such kind of medical equipments. Dr. Banias said the emergence of M3 dialysis center at CSA-B is agood opportunity because the people will avail of world class dialysis services. It is in line with the vision of President GMA.*

Basta Vicente Sotto hospital is a medical clerk/interns' worst nightmare!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ask ang mga nag train dyan....you could really lose weight fast there with all those walking, climbing, running around the halls and that terrible stench of the surgical and infectious wards that bids your appetite goodbye, at sa dami nang pasyente ikaw na yata ang the most exhausted...ha ha ha ha......but it's a good training hospital, all they need are better facitlities. I could compare it to PGH in Manila
