Construction:









The Company "Vertikala Pasaule" SIA, a subsidiary of S.P.I. Group, carries out construction of a modern complex of high-rise mixed type buildings composed of two towers at 9/11 Daugavgrīvas Street, Riga.

The original complex of two connected buildings will become one of the outstanding architectural projects in the Baltic:
* one of the buildings will be 120+ metres high
* the area of the complex premises will be ~100 000 m2
The project’s architectural concept was worked out by the Company “F.L. Tadao & Luksevics” SIA.

In 2005 the Company was awarded a prize for its contribution to Latvian architecture.

Construction is carried out by the Company “Strabag AG”, one of the largest building companies in the world.

They implemented many projects in high-rise construction across the world, including Central and Eastern Europe. "Vertikala Pasaule" SIA has chosen Austrian company “Strabag AG” to run the construction for its reputation and experience with high-rise buildings.

What do u mean ''no comments'', these are beautifull maybe not that tall though, but it's the design that counts!

Pretty neat location and handsome design. Riga deserves that, this city's one of a kind.

Glad they aren't higher, no need for chav-towers over there.

Why are they called "Z Towers"? They dont resemble "Z"?

I think Z stands for Zunda which is the location of the towers.

the reason why there aren't any higher skyscrapers in Riga is that UNESCO already before building Saules Akmens warned city council that the historic center of Riga may be excluded from world heritage list so city council made builder of Saules Akmens build it little lower than planned.

btw, already a long time ago it was announced that in one of these towers there's going to be a Sheraton. the second remains for offices, I suppose.
