Argentina: Its 24 Provincial Legislative Assembly Buildings & Government Houses

The 24 Provincial Legislative Assembly Buildings & Government Houses of Argentina

This is pretty interesting since from the different government buildings of each province you can certainly get a pretty good idea of the climate of that province, how traditional (old) it is, and how rich it is or was... I provided also each province's flag and a map of where the proince is within Argentina. Hope you enjoy! And if you have better pictures please let me know!

The legislature's where the senators meet and discuss and make provincial laws... while the government house is where the governor hangs out with his peeps.

Ahh, gotcha. In Canada, we don't usually use that term. Some of our provincial legislatures have the premier's office inside, I believe, but not all.

Interesting thread. Some very nice buildings there.

Any idea what the symbolism behind this is?

Two hands shaking with a red hat on a stick. Several of the shields have that motif.

It is a shield of form oval cut with his top field of (blue) azure, and the (white) low one of silver.

In the low barrack there become closer two skillful(right) nake hands that represent the union, and that support a pike that finishes off, already in the top field, with a Phrygian cap looking at right-hand side, in symbol of freedom.

In the chief, crowning to the shield one finds the midday(crystal-clear) Sun figured with 21 straight and flamboyant beams alternated of (yellow) gold that symbolizes the birth of the new nation.

Both sides of the shield are framed by garlands of laurel that symbolize the military glory. Both branches of laurel are joined in the low part by a celestial and white tape.
