James, Johnson, Upson, Terry, Bridge, Wright-Philips, Barry, Carrick, Downing, Defoe, Agbonlahor
Subs: Carson, Robinson, Lescott, Richards, Mancienne, Davies, Parker, Bullard, Young, Crouch, Bent. Downing in instead of Young - joke. |

A deserved win through and through, England dominated in both halves. Top player for me was Wright-Phillips, simply brilliant.

One of the best performances I've seen from England for a while, better I think then against Croatia...and this with basically a reserve team!
Thought Carrick, SWP and Johnson were the best players, Agbonnyylahhereeglahore was effective at creating chances, if not putting them away. There was just a general confidence running thorugh the squad, a good combination of individual quality and team work ethic, players winning the ball back for eachother and being sensible in their passing. Carson is still iffy though.

Yes, Carson is iffy. Is Joe Hart injured or something? I thought he deserved a chance tonight.

carson lacks confidence, but terry as captain and senior squad member should've recognised a mess while it was unfolding, taken responsibility and hoofed that bastard into the stands. we can't afford any of that nonsense if we fancy winning anything!

I think this is more than a reserve team, add Rooney, Walcott and Ferdinand and you might have the new team. I think Gerrard and Lampard slow it down way too much. Some of the passing was incredible.
I watched it with a mixed German/English crowd - awesome!!!!

apart from the obvious blunder, that was not only one of the best performances i've seen for years but the most intelligent. germany barely touched the ball for the first 10 minutes.
