Respect
When going to someone's home, make sure to bring them a gift. Anything is fine from wines to flowers to chocolate. When you arrive at the house take off your shoes and if you really want their respect, compliment their yard or house. When inside the house, don't ask for anything for they will surely offer it. The host will make sure to make you feel at home for 100%, so don't take advantage of their kindness. Most people in Azerbaijan respect older people. So like in a bus or in a subway young guys will always offer you a place to sit if you are an older person, or if you are pregnant, or have kids with you.

The real adornments of the Azerbaijan land are its mountainous lakes. The Batabat, the Goygol, the Maralgol and other lakes possess the unique and distinctive beauty. There are more than 1000 mineral springs, (the most famous - Badamli, Istisu, Sirab. Fauna and flora of Azerbaijan are rich and diversity. More than 4000 types of plants grow here, including officinal one"s. More than 1200 types of animals and birds inhabit here: bear, lynx, wolf, Caucasian goat, jeyran, deer, turaj, pheasants, flamingo, pelicans and etc.

White sturgeon, salmon, kutum, stellate sturgeon, sturgeon are found in the Caspian Sea and in the mouths of the rivers flowing into it. Climate is transitional, from temperate to subtropical. The average temperature of July changes from +5°C in Alpine areas to +27°C in low-lying, and in January accordingly from -10°C to +3°C. Precipitations are from 200 mm on Absheron to 1200-1700 mm on the Lankaran low-lying. Strong winds are very frequently, especially in autumn.
