That looks stunning... I counted 50 floors on that. Must be at least 200m. And they've hinted at going even taller.

thanks shaun

i ask because we're basically adding everything in skyscrapernews to google earth... am a bit sketchy on a few precise locations. we've done just over 1800 buildings for london so far.

that lime green patch has been a shithole for the last...well i cant even remember how long its been....just been empty for so long...will be good to see something done with it!

Ages is the word! I'm sure there was a sign in the late 80s / early 90s saying land aquired for an exciting new development. It was in use as a car park for a while.

Well you're in luck...

I keep all the Croydon developments, from pre-planning to u/c, in the handy picture below. Also included is Suffolk House, which may or may not have something done to it in the future.

. But 61m makes more sense and is corroborated by Emporis, and SNUK.

You sure Croydon Gateway is approved? I thought they were still deciding between the two proposals

And I've no more information beyond what londonlad has said about the Hamilton development. 160m is a guesstimate based on the drawing they placed in the newspaper.

Apparently Croydon Gateway has been approved but there's an appeal.

this is correct. im not sure of the precise status, last thing i heard the council had approved one and were trying to CPO parts of the site but the developer who had lost (thats the foster scheme) was going through legal hoops to try and stop it. its all being settled in the courts.
