London's doesn't. It is like an oven in the summer. When it's 30C outside it's not unusual for it to be 45-50C underground.

I'm pretty sure the TTC has air conditioning.

It took many years but finally we have it.
Before, taking the tube in the summer was a nightmare.

Madrid metro system has got. What a nightmare would be 45ºC without air!

I believe that Miami has it on the metrorail (HRT), the stations are all open air, but the trains have it if I am not mistaken.

Here in Hamburg we don't need A/C in the tube as we don't have too many hot days in the summer.

That's what politicians say but I have used it several times without climatization. There are some press reports about that which measured more than 30ºC in several lines.

At least situation is better than some years ago, when most of the times it was a nightmare in summer.

The MK II trains in Vancouver have them, not the MK I trains or the stations themselves. Honestly, our "heatwave" is nothing compared to the rest of the world.

I think our stations need more heat though... it's cold in the winter (but not as cold as the rest of the nation).

"The MK II trains in Vancouver have them, not the MK I trains or the stations themselves. Honestly, our "heatwave" is nothing compared to the rest of the world."

<<< I heard passengers will often open the windows on Skytrain vehicles, rendering the air conditioning useless. I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be surprised since I see bus windows opened during the summer.

"I think our stations need more heat though... it's cold in the winter (but not as cold as the rest of the nation)."

<<< You need heat there? You baby! If people manage to get to the station without heat, I think they can manage to stand in the cold for a few more minutes. Besides, to heat outdoor stations, you'd probably have to blast people with a series of overhead gas heaters. A bit of a waste in my opinion.

Chicago L trains have air conditioning. I think most US metros do. Chicago stations do not but they do not get that hot. I seem to recall also that Washington DC stations are air conditioned or at least have forced air to keep them cool.

I believe all subway rolling stock in Tokyo are air conditioned. I know that stations are air conditioned as well but I'm not sure if all or just some are.

If I'm in NYC in the summer, I usually will take the buses and avoid the subway because the stations get too hot.
