Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine, Part I

Here is a series of photos I took on January 19, 2008.

I was taking part in the Over-the-Rhine Design Charrette at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and I took these before the event, during lunch, while inside, and afterward.

I also included a few snapshots of the event itself, including a drawing I made. (They must have then assumed that I was an architecture student, because I got scolded like a child for not drawing a proper cross-section of our project.)

Access all 2,149 of my Cincinnati photos in my Photobucket gallery.

30. I wish this turned out better. But I was drinking OTR Ale in the Art Academy, which was still pretty cool.

It looks dead. People-wise.

Dangerous area. I think it's getting a face-lift.

OTR has crime issues, but seems to be going through a revival lately.
I love the architecture there, its simply gorgeous and beautiful.
Cincinnati boomed when most midwestern cities were just large towns.
