I simply used Paint. Just zoom in to 200% and draw the lines. I did main roads only, otherwise it would be a mess

Red: Trips that I wasn't the driver
Blue: Trips that I was driving

The Blue in PA was because I took over the wheel to DC.

Aren't you originally from Somalia? Haven't you driven anywhere there?

Sadly...no.

I lived there when I was too young to drive, and when I went there back in 2003, I basically was driven everywhere by family (although I could if I wanted to...no legal driving age there.). Would have been interesting to drive there though...going off-road in a desert landscape isn't possible where I live.

A long time since the last post......
Here is my map. I've excluded the Netherlands, because it would be one big mess then. Everything has been driven as a passenger, I'm not 18 yet...

Blue - where I've driven
Red - where I've been driven

Thick line - national road
Thin line - other road

Why not reduce the size of the picture to see the rest of Zimbabwe, or wherever that red line ends?

Well, my artistic abilities won't do a map justice, so in words:

As a driver:

Israel: probably on most of the roads in the country at one time or another.

UK: A great deal. Mostly around Oxford, between Oxford and Coventry, Oxford and London. Also to Birmingham, between Leicester and Yorkshire and around Yorkshire.

Ireland: Lots around Dublin, and out to the west as far as Dingle.

Italy: From Rome to Florence and then around Tuscany and northwards to France.

France: From Chamonix to Paris. Through Paris around the Peripherique at rush hour (!) and northwards to Charles de Gaulle airport to return a rental car.

As a passenger:

More or less recently:

UK: Cambridge to Inverness.

US: California (San Francisco to Yosemite) and Florida (Disneyworld to the Everglades). I actually took some pictures of the US highways in 1991 which I could post to this forum if anyone is interested.

Brief journeys in Holland and Germany.

Around Rhodes

Not recently:

When I was about 11 years old my family drove from England to Israel via most of Europe.

Self driven only

I've left out Australia and Iceland because they are very localised on a national scale

I like to do that once. From New York to Los Angeles. Maybe via the northern states to Seattle and then down to LA and then via Texas and the southern states back to New York. Quite a drive, over 12.000 kilometers I guess.

not yet. but my uncle, who lives in Silver Springs, Maryland, promised us, that we'll drive to our other relatives in California next time our family visits him

When we were there last time, we wanted to drive from Bergenfield, NJ, to Lake Mary, FL by car. Unfortunately, the car broke down on the bumpy roads in Manhattan. So we flied to Florida.

I have driven in:

Malaysia - almost everywhere within 60 km radius around Kuala Lumpur

Thailand- around Songkhla & Koh Yor island. ( with SSC forumer nazrey's car - he's a Thai but he contributes a lot of pics in Malaysian Highway section )

I got my license 5 years ago... that time I was 18
