I knew about S1 but my friend was telling me that there's tons of traffic going through Cieszyn on S1 and not worth the headache. I personally haven't driven through that way yet which is why I thought I might ask you guys here as you seem to know your stuff pretty well. I'll be driving through on a Tuesday afternoon so I would assume that it shouldn't be too bad but everytime I'm in Poland it seems like bad traffic is pretty much the standard, hence my hesitation.

Don't worry, you will loose more time in a queue of saint Slovaks behind a truck than on S1, where traffic is quite low.

Little update after my Swiss trip...:

Violet - as a driver
Light violet - as a passenger
green - by bike
black rectangle - I was to lazy to fit that bit of the map (I've made it from a few smaller bits of the map)

Yeah I want to go to the North Cape too... I guess it's at least 2 weeks of driving.

It's 3.200 kilometers to get up there via Sweden from Zwolle. Then another 3.600 kilometer to get down via E6. (if you don't take ferries to and from Scandinavia).
