I will !!! but let me telle you something guys It is indeed the second largest city of tUnis but the city itself is not that attractive never went there and besides the old medinas there is nothing much to visit .

Specially after 40 year of pollution

the seashore of the city is devastated by the rejectiosn of the phospahtes ...it is by fare the biggest natural targedy that affected our country .

they stopped 10 years ago and now they are still cleaning the mess but the job is pharaonic they need to remove 2 meters of polluted modd from the sea ..

there is an amazing project taparura that will change dramatically the city :

The Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership Facility (FEMIP) will grant a loan of 34m euros for a new capital project to clean up the Taparura site in Sfax, Tunisia. The project is part of a Tunisian government programme to tackle pollution in the region. Pollution in the area is threatening the beaches and coastal waters of Sfax, a major obstacle to economic development and tourism growth. The contract for the loan was signed on Monday (26 June) by Philippe de Fontaine Vive, European Investment Bank vice-president and Mohamed Nouri Jouini, Tunisia's Minister for Development and International Co-operation.

An amendment to the $45m finance contract for the pollution abatement project in the Gulf of Gabès was also signed on Monday between de Fontaine Vive and Groupe Chimique Tunisien (GCT). The amendment will enable GCT to complete its project within the timescale required for implementation of the environmental solution selected. A joint study by FEMIP and the World Bank showed the Gabès region is one of the most polluted in the Mediterranean Basin. (La Presse, EIB)

Anyway i m posting some pics .

Fantastic update, Tounsi!

Like I said, all the Tunisian cities I've seen fascinated me. I also believe "Tunisia" deserves their own sub-section too.
