I know it's stupid. That's just marketing, they want users to have paid accounts.

Ads are not so profitable as many think. Also, it is their choice, not yours, you have also other options for uploading pictures.

I am a Flickr Pro user and the service was fine until today. It could have used some tweaks, but not such drastic changes. More often than not they just change things for the sake of changing, instead of serving their (paying) users. Facebook and Youtube are good examples of implementing frequent changes that are questionable.

Picasa is an alternative to Flickr, but they continue to have problems with embedding them on internet forums. I frequently see no photos in SSC threads when someone uses Picasa.

Of course I could go to another hosting service, but the point is that I would have to migrate 25,000 photos and lose all my statistics, favs, comments and contacts. Flickr has long been a host with a lot of high-quality photography, as opposed to Picasa and Imageshack, not to mention social media crappy photos such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

I used Picasa a lot and it was the only internet-thing where I payed something, but this embedding problems made me to stop using them.

I find imageshack hard to use and Flickr quite expensive.

I was thinking to make myself a new Facebook page, with no friends, and to use it just for image storage.

Facebook crops the image quality quite a bit.

Besides, Facebook takes ownership of everything you post, including images. With Flickr and Picasa, copyright remains to you.

Andorra is going to mint its own Euro coins, starting 1 January 2014. 80% of minted coins will be for normal circulation. These are the designs:

Andorra already used euros unilaterally, they have agreed with EU to mint its own coins, making the 4th country with such a agreement after Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican. I have Andorra close to me, I'll look after them. And it is the first country with 4 reverses, until now eurozone countries had either 1, 3 or 8 reverses for their coins.

I use both flickr and picasa as a pro user. However, I find picasa much easier and user friendly than flickr and never had any visibility problems with someone's pictures. I think the key to see pics of others is just to open own picasa's account.

I also think that Picasa is easier to use, and I like it's design + I have installed Picasa for picture editing. The only problem is that when you want to embedd the pictures to a forum (on SSC for example), some people won't see you pictures.

Speaking about supposed upgrades, I was finally happy for a good Android web browser, Opera mobile... and today they "upgraded" it into a s#it.

I must get rid of any autoupdate feature...

Due to Photobucket f*cking up, most images won't be visibile in my old posts. If you need anything specific, please write me.

Afaik Picasa only has problems with showing images when you post them on a forum and then rename your album. Other than that, no problems whatsoever here.

@Bogdymol

Yes, I know. I received several messages from forumers, who could not see the pictures. But, as I said, possible solution to the problem is to register in picasa. I, as a picasa user, always can see your picasa's pics embedded in SSC.

I had a lot of problems with Picasa pictures embedded on SSC, without renaming the album or modifying anything.

One of Gumball's Ferrari's crashed on Latvian A1 today. The driver blamed the rainy weather, because he was droing the allowed speed limit.
