America is full of immigrants, even Hungarians. I guess such a letter would have had a harder time gettin delivered from Italy, or Spain, or elsewhere in Europe...

I wonder what happens if an European postman find a letter with the address written in a non-Latin script (maybe Chinese or Arabic).

Is it forbidden?

Only? I still send and receive postcards regularly.

Of course it isn't, as long you stick a stamp or a combination of stamps with the right amount in relation to the weight. However an heavy envelope may look attractive for thieves.

The road numbers appear to be small in comparison with the font size of the destinations.

From what I understand it should be Slovakia. But I heard in RO too from time to time news of gypsy clans getting into fights with forks or "ninja swords" (as they like to say it on the news)

I worked as postman in February and March, not many people go on vacation in that period.

If the link works properly, you should see an accident on the Italian A1, southbound.

It is interesting because you can see the huge queues behind the disruption, also in the feeding roads.
But what is more interesting is the queue due to drivers slowing down in the northbound lane: look how muck traffic is backing up, just for the sake of curiosity!

Accidents and jams between Bologna and Rimini, as usual... fortunately we miss them. Works ongoing between Pesaro and Ancona, I read recently that enlargement works in the Senigallia-Ancona stretch have stopped due to financial problems of the contractor.

I am enraged about Ancona Sud-Porto Sant'Elpidio stretch: nominally, that section has been enlarged 3 years ago, but since then there hasn't been a single moment when the 3 lanes were all open simultaneously: endless and incomprehensible lane reductions all over the place.

South of Porto Sant'Elpidio, same old same old: almost empty and fun to drive.

Does someone know why British islands use different colours on Google Maps than the rest of the world?
They use blue for motorways and green, orange, yellow and white for roads (in decreasing order of importance).
Other countries use dark orange for tolled motorways, light orange for toll-free motorways and expressways yellow for main roads and white for important roads.
