At a certain level of zoom, the town of Telford in Shropshire on google maps is marked as 'Town Centre'.

I was in Dusseldorf at the weekend and on Friday the temperature was around 35°C. There was a breeze but it was warm and offered no respite from the heat.

I remember a case not far from here where the central dashed line became the shoulder line . It was corrected some years ago, and recently the road was widened.

Shortly after the opening of motorway tunnel Sitina in Slovakia, Bratislava, the overtaking was prohibited there according to traffic signs Basically, the left lane was supposed to be empty in each tube I am not really sure, what was the main purpose of traffic planners, but the prohibiton has been removed soon.

I did get the impression, however, that people there understood Portuguese better than most Spanish people.

Have a look in the bilingual signs thread in a moment.
Well this is the plaque, from information I got from Portuguese blog about re-annexing Olivenz/ça it turns out the plaque was put up in Estoril (near Lisbon) by a man born in Olivença in the 1880's, so about 80 years after it became Spanish, but when it was still Portuguese speaking. To summarise the plaque, it says nice things about Portugal and welcomes Portuguese people, especially those from the Alentejo and even more especially those from Olivença.
EDIT:

Sorry that came out pretty big, here's the link if you want to see the plaque.

we had one (or few) tunnel where they had put sings "prohibited overtaking for all vehicles" instead "prohibited overtaking for LKW". i forgot where exactly that was.

but overtaking in multitube tunnels isn't strange. take a look of the city tunnels in Moscow - in all of them changing the lanes is prohibited.

I saw in Germany at some roadworks where the lanes where narrowed, signs that overtaking is not allowed, and people should drive aligned, on car on the first, and one on the second lane without overtaking. Didn't seem that drivers where following it though.

now you have reminded me: currently at A3 at Zagreb bypass there is situation like this:

they have more or less signed properly beginning of working zone, but they haven't signed end of it. each time passing there i watch lost drivers who end up in hard shoulder after working zone because of poor markings.

IMHO it is still strange to put there such sign to get lanes kept by cars. Sometimes, solid divider lane could be enough for that purpose

I got fined last week on the A93 between Rosenheim and Kufstein for overtaking lorries on narrow lanes. They weren't kidding when "versetzt fahren" is the protocol. You're not supposed to overtake in these roadworks.
