Almost the same here. Mikulás puts sweets into the shoes of the good children on the 6th of December. He gives the bad ones willow switch or twigs called virgács. Let's not forget his helpers, the krampuszes (they are also common characters in the area):

And of course, Christkind (Jézuska) brings presents on Christmas Eve.

A man who does nothing all year long but watching, stalking and judging other people he must spend his time other way.

Saint Nicolaus ha here two helpers too, but one krampusz is replaced by angel (usually as female), so that the trio is Nicolaus, krampusz and angel

Today is 28 December, so don't trust Spanish sources. We have our 1st April today .

Why would I trust your post? You're Spanish and it's December 28th

To be honest the gender of the krampuszes was never clearly determined - nowadays a lot of them are female.

It looks like a fake coin to rip off collectors.

My Dad said something that you may find interesting, now he's a driver but by no means a roadgeek. The other day I drove us from London to Bruges and back, when we were coming back and crossed the Franco-Belgian border and he said 'French signs are a bit naff aren't they? I much prefer Belgian ones'. Considering the opinion of Belgian roads on here, I thought that was interesting. I suppose the roads are more criticised than the signs though.

That, and the euro didn't exist before 1999, only ECU (XEU), which was never used in Liechtenstein either.
