I prefer the French ones, who are more modern than the Belgian ones.

German press isn't new with those politically uncorrect jokes about certain nationalities.

This was the cover of an edition of "Der Spiegel" in 1977, when Italy was involved in the tragic phenomenon of the political terrorism.
It generated a huge scandal in Italy.

In real life, electronic toll collection was first introduced in Bergen, Norway in 1986, and well into the 21th century many countries still struggle to implement it.

I may be politically incorrect right now, but all that fear from west is about one certain minority, which is often involved in criminality and is present in Romania and Bulgaria as well. Nevertheless, I would not like to start a topic about certain minority again.

Yeah, the G-word that often generate long flames on SSC.

BTW, in the case of Italy in 1977, the terrorism involved only some numerically small (but very dangerous and deadly) armed groups and certainly the majority of the Italian population wasn't guilty for that. We only paid the consequences of living in a destabilized state. So it was uncorrect to associate Italian people with terrorism.

Just want to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you best wishes and prosperity for the new year. Hope it'll be a great one.

I hope mine is going to be a great one. The past few weeks has been like a rollercoaster, and ended up in a very unfortunate breakup. Christmas hasn't been good at all, but I hope the new year will be a better one.

Do what you gotta do, be happy, and in the words of the great Billy Joel: don't take no shit from anybody.

Alex.
