Fireworks failure in Slovakia. Representatives has calmly reported it was planned as special "mine effect" so they will not enforce any claims against supplier .

Today was the warmest 3 January since 1901 in the Netherlands. + 12 C and no winter in sight.

Would you like to trade places? :-P

Six or seven inches of snow on my car, from the look of it (I didn't drive today, but it's parked right across the street from my new bedroom window), 15 degrees Fahrenheit (-9.5 C) at the moment not counting the wind chill, and my office is open.

Sorry for a strange question about grammar, but collocations "with it" and "of it" are changeable with "therewith" and "thereof" respectively, or they have different meaning?

Same meaning, but "thereof" is pretty formal and "therewith" so old-fashioned I don't think I'd ever use it.

I also don't think I've ever used "collocation."

We're currently having a summer-like thunderstorm here. Very unusual in January.

Weather is really weird . This is climate change, and not what they predicted .

What about the 2012 Big Bay Boom in San Diego? That was a boom.

Yesterday we were at a high of -27 (low I think -29) *C, today warmer... -25 *C! With "wind factor" it is supposed to feel like -37 the worst. One advantage to such temperature, there is not much snow that falls. One disadvantage, salt on the road no longer works. Lots of accidents today especially on bridges. Radio said Champlain bridge was partially due to accident, but surprisingly it was because cars hit each other and not cars falling through the concrete onto the water It was very close to the record low temperature for this day of the year (I think we missed by 1 degree, but some towns here have beat the records)

Mercedes went "rah, rah, vroum!" each time so I was happy, but other people were more lucky, they stayed home

Don't they have some new chemicals that can lower melting point as low as -30 oC?
