This summer I forgot my house keys inside the house, and the house of course locked. I had my car parked in the garage (basement) and just drove off using the electric door opener. I didn't have even the original remote for the door, just relying on the "universal" remote built into the car. I noticed when I was at my office and I was hoping not to lose power or have the door opener jam or the car forget the code to open the door (like e.g. dead battery)

Exactly. I went out for a jog and took the keys of my apartment in Brescia which look the same as those of the apartment in Turin. I had no wallet, no jacket, no nothing. Fortunately I had the phone...

A question for our Spanish forum members... What has happened between urbanity.es / urbanity.cc? They seem to have split into two separate forums about the exact same content, they even link from threads at the .cc forum to the .es forum and vice versa.

I was short lived there, so I don't know . Maybe some dispute between admins, like when EuroBillTracker split into .com and .eu during the Christmas of 2007-08 (Now .eu redirects to .com).

This photo from Posojna generates many comments on Facebook (page of an Italian newspaper) because of the similarity between the frozen car antenna and an anatomical part.

I'm just curious, why are there direction lines in Google Street View in Belgium and The Netherlands and no recording dates in Switzerland?

When you open a business, it's important to chose a name that isn't easily forgotten!

Video embedded inside

A newly disclosed audio recording purportedly depicts a conversation between two American diplomats, in which one curses the European Union as they discuss how to handle turmoil in Ukraine.

American officials were quick to suggest a Russian role in the apparent leak, which came as Russia is engaged in a tug of war with the E.U. and the United States for influence over Ukraine. The audio recording, incorporated into a video with Russian subtitles and posted on YouTube Tuesday, appears to be a conversation between the top U.S. diplomat for Europe, Victoria Nuland, and the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, discussing how to resolve the ongoing standoff between the Ukraine government and protesters camped out in the streets.

At one point, the voice apparently belonging to Nuland suggests that United Nations efforts should take precedence over the E.U. position, adding, “f–k the E.U.”

An aide to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin shared the clip on Twitter Wednesday before it had gained widespread notice. “Sort of controversial judgment from Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland speaking about the EU,” he wrote.

“I would say that since the video was first noted and tweeted out by the Russian government, I think it says something about Russia’s role,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Thursday. He didn’t comment on the authenticity of the recording, which has yet to be independently confirmed.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that if the Russians were responsible for bugging and leaking the conversation, it would be “a new low in Russian tradecraft.”

Psaki also said Nuland had apologized to her E.U. counterparts for her comments, the AP reports. When asked if the video was authentic, Psaki said: “I didn’t say it was inauthentic.”

No, it's not awesome. It's just a bunch of stupid kids thinking they are masters of the wheel so they can put in danger their own life and the ones of the other drivers

In the Ukrainian-speaking part, that includes Kiev, Janukovyc didn't get many votes and protests are strong. In the Russian-speaking part he got many votes and protests are basically non-existent.

It's obvious that every ethnic group wants to protect itself from the "rival" power (Russia for Ukrainians and EU for Russians). A split into two countries, like Czechoslovakia in 1993, isn't an unlikely scenario in the future.
