No, I'm not making this up. At least (she claims) she wasn't behind the wheel at the time. And she wasn't born in the U.S. and didn't learn to drive here, so it's not our fault. :-P
Considering the name of subject, she seemed to be fully aware of her disability

Former Alberta Premier Mr. Stelmach suggested once to switch fast lane from left to right "for a temporary time", so the wear on the road surface would equalize

Today, on my way back to Germany, I tried to analyze the middle lane hoggers. From what I saw, they were either older men or women (from young to old). I hate them!

I think its more of a psychological issue: its simply more comfortable to drive on the middle lane. I guess there will always be middle-lane hoggers.

I find them selfish. Especially when they drive under limit. And it is furthermore dangerous.

True. Still, most people will choose middle lane hogging over constantly taking over trucks, and bother with in and out going traffic.

I wouldn't mind that hard if the motorway wouldn't have been so empty like yesterday. Almost no trucks at all...

M7 in Hungary is full of middle lane hoggers in Sundays when there is a truck traffic ban in Hungary so that there is not any singly truck in the motorway.

Agreed. It is amusing to constantly change lanes if there are trucks, lorries and buses in the slow lane. I take the middle lane too in such case. But seen so many middle lane hoggers with no reason. And it really piss me off when I see lane hogger driving at the same speed as drivers in the slow lane, keeping the same distance from them. Whyy?

the in and out-going traffic issue remains.

If there's only 2 lanes at the motorway, you have no problem with that.

as i said, its all about comfort. On 2x2 roads they will blink and honk the shit out of you if you stay on the left lane -> not comfortable.

This issue remains on 2+2 motorway too. Excuse for left lane hoggers?

What are you talking about? It is very common that the right lane is empty as far as I can see and the middle lane is almost full.

I am currently in Norway. Man this country is beautiful!

I listened to the radio in all three Scandinavian countries I drove through. I could understand Norwegian the best, also because I study Norwegian road issues more thoroughly. Sweden was so/so, but I couldn't understand a word of Danish, it sounds like mumbling to me. Even making out single words is difficult.

I studied a bit of Danish back in the days, I had a Danish gf for a little while. Grammar is very simple, but some sounds were virtually impossible for me to reproduce...
