Back to Brescia now, vacation's over. Despite bad weather I managed to climb 7 peaks including one 3000er. It was a productive week :-)

I did, but my girlfriend's still in Brescia. In two days we're going to Southern Italy, so it seemed pointless to go back to Turin and then to Brescia again.

One question: What would you choose for a 6 days and a half vacation in Italy (coming from Munich area)? Between:

1. Rome + Florence + Pisa
2. Cinque Terre + places around like Pisa, Lucca, Genova

Definitely the second one. Rome and Florence you would only see chaos. Cinque Terre need to be visited at least once in your life.

I'm also back home. I've been part of the staff of a ultra mountain marathon held last weekend. But still I managed to get to the very end of A-139 (which dead ends hoping that any day a tunnel will connect it with France) and on the way back I went on another route just to grab that isolated A-23 section near Sabinanigo. I think it's the 4th or 5th time I get A-23 fully clinched...

I forgot to mention:
1. The period would be 28 September - 4 October (shouldn't be that many tourists left, but don't know how the weather would be like)
2. We weren't in any of those destinations yet.
3. It doesn't depend only on me, my gf's sister will come along

I've heard that southern Europe doesn't have excellent summer weather so far. Several of my colleagues came back from Italy and France and had only moderate summer weather, apart from a few hot days mostly 20 - 25 C and more rain than usual.

Extreme rain in central Netherlands. Arnhem picked up 130 mm in just a couple of hours.

Weather forecast for the next week is getting scary. Temperatures as high as +36°C in Latvia.

And here 20-25°C with rain showers everyday. I just returned from the mountains. Because of thick fog and some larger snow slopes we managed to lose ourselves just 200 meters from mountain hut.

I lose myself sometimes, hence my infraction I received two months ago. Lesson to be learned: Never call an Albanian guy sad ******.

I lost myself a year ago and got banned for a week. Lesson to be learned: Never call a moderator whatever I called him. I don't even remember

Haha, some German guy drove 63 km/h in Ljubljana (speed limit 50 km/h), but the penalty of €250 was sent to a Slovenian woman with an identical license plate. They're both from "SG": Slovenj Gradec in Slovenia and Solingen in Germany. The best part: the woman drives a tractor with a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
