Try and divide everything by ten (50 crowns -> 5 euro and so on), and you'll see

Only 1000NOK\100EUR is different.

I think I've seen 200 and 500 notes not more than 3 or 4 times since 2002 and none of them was in my hands.

I had a project in Hungary, approx. 6 years ago, and my contractor asked me if he can pay in euro. I accepted it, but I did not think he would give me two 500 euro notes (the price was approx. 980 euro, he gave me 1000 and said that it was OK).
It was not easy to get rid of them :-)

At least you can differentiate banknotes from new series. Before they were much more similar especially from the edge.

I haven't used a € 500 note since 2005. It was hard to get rid of it by depositing it in the bank (it was for my parents, not me). I had to deposit some thousand euros 0 for them on banknotes they'd gotten from a friend (it was a business transaction, legal and official). The bank was rather suspicious of the note, the clerk was examining it closely.

When I arrived in Netherlands, I had withdrawn some money to get by first weeks before I had my bank account set here. It was very hard to get rid of € 200 on stores. Not evne the rail company accepted them for ticket purchase. Yet, nobody would take them. So I actually went to a bureau of change on the train station at a quiet time and asked the clerk to exchange by few notes into 50s.

I got some 500€ notes when I sold my old Audi. I went to the bank and transferred the money to my account.

Oh gosh! I thought they've proposed a new 1000 € banknote at first glance.

Do you know why they put in evidence that reminder about copyright? Legal problems?

Yes. Jan told us about this in the Dutch section in a conversation. He was at a Google conference in Dublin. Google is warning us to mind our language a bit, as there are apps of SSC available in Google Play Store, and also because of the search engines. And there are more and more complaints from architects and planners that we are using copyright work on here. Also several news sites are chasing us for the fact that entire reports are being quoted on here. And finally our advertisers are in a bit of a huff because of all the above as well...

There's a reason that the name Z alando is banned.

At least I don't use gross words nor quote full reports (Although I found a way to bypass the payment requirement of a local newspaper ). The only thing I want is to write the name of that famous Austrian village uncensored, as it stands now I have to throw in a cyrillic letter and thus rename it as 'Fusking'. At least it doesn't happen with Scunthorpe despite containing the c word.

I don't understand why they get crazy when one quotes an entire article. As long the forumer links the original source and the article is freely available on the net, it should be fair game IMHO. You can legally share a news article on your Facebook page or profile, why not on SSC?

Is there a list of banned words in SSC?
