Yeah, that is a nice one .

There is no special present perfect tense for the verb but there is a similar construction in a sense for certain cases. You can use it to see the similarity.

English present perfect: I have cooked the meal.
Czech/Slovak: Uz mam uvareno.

You combine the verb aspect (verb in perfect aspect) with the same modal verb as in English (to have). Sometimes you don't need the modal verb, the verb aspect get's the job done on it's own.

the aspect is changed by that do, u, za, etc added to the word. In fact it means that most of the verbs have two or even more versions that are perfect or imperfect.

Czech/Slovak: Uz sem/som uvaril.

There is also a pluperfect but it is not anymore used in common language, mostly in poetry, lyrics or other literature.

English: I had cooked it before you came.
Czech (maybe Slovak too?) byl sem/som varil predtim co/nez si prisel/prisol.

And they you got the funny Slovak: Uz som neni, etc

There were more tenses, but they went out of use in Czech and Slovak.

Sponsorship is definitely advertising. Sponsorship of TV programmes was banned in the UK until about 20 years ago. There were of course adverts on non BBC channels, but no sponsorship. Nowadays even product placement is allowed, although a "P" symbol needs to be displayed at the start of the programme.

That picture was not taken by me. It's interesting to note that the panoramic camera is covered, which can be easily seen on this pic, so I guess they were just scanning around. Hope they will start to record very soon. And I hope I will be able to spot this car around

edit: google link doesn't work as it is too long. Here's a map:

I saw that in Italy there are many shots from June or July 2014, for example in Rome.

Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians.

And greetings from Maine, where the Irving stations and Tim Horton's have "washrooms." That, for our Continental friends, is Canadian English for what on U.S. signs are usually called "rest rooms." Just ate at a Tim's, in fact. We need more of those this side of the border. (Only seen them in Maine, actually.)

The other day, before I left for my trip, I attended a friend's citizenship swearing-in. I looked up the building beforehand on Google Maps to see if there was parking and on the supposedly 2014 imagery, the building's not there. I knew the building was new, but I don't think it's that new.

First world problems.

I'm just saying I'd be skeptical of imagery dates on GMaps....
