Actually rugby is a sport which has more rules than most others. Maybe that is not apparent to some causal observer but when you better know the game then you see that it is rather complex. Rule book has over 200 pages. Even I don't know all the rules despite I'm occasional touch judge (side judge) and also a rugby player.
It is just that there are no in-game breaks like with American football and time runs nonstop (except when there are some important causes for time breaks like serious injuries etc.) and that maybe makes rugby "too messy".

Greetings from the Greenwich meridian . A few arcseconds West of it, actually.

I accidentally dropped the Pegman here, and damn, what a nice neighbourhood. I've just added Velenje on my list of Slovenian tourist towns.

EDIT: apparently it's called "Kunta Kinte"

Today, 25 years ago. The Berlin Wall comes down.

Amazing photo of Helmut Kohl at the Brandenburger Tor.

A special edition of Bild was today thrown in my post box (and everyone else's in Germany). This photo is on page 2, in big size.

The Polar Vortex, they're calling that. Meteorologists are being very dramatic about it. Probably reach you guys next week.

which weather forecast is that?

---------------
Denver (and the Front Range in general) is an interesting place in terms of weather. Orography and the confluence of different air masses often create wild swings, combined with local micro-climates due to the presence of the might Rockies.

We get these swings here as well. There is no such thing as autumn or spring here. We had massives of snow two weeks ago two days after I was hiking the mountains wearing next to nothing...

Here too. Back in early March a snowstorm caused Monrepos pass to be closed to heavy traffic. The following day weather improved dramatically.

Overheard on the way to work (re a previous topic):

Young woman talking to young man about what sports she likes.

Young man: "Well, football's not really football - it's advertising."
