Here in Milan, a few years ago they approved a congestion charge: 5 euro to enter the very central area of Milan during weekdays, in the day.

In the first days it was approved, a lot of people entered the biggest green park of Milan by car and crossed it all on the walkways, in order to avoid paying!!! Only because the park is half inside and half outside the 5-euro-area, and so they could avoid the cameras which read their plates

Congestion in central Ljubljana isn't a problem any more, they've closed half the roads there.

Suppose it is written intentionally as the letter "U" is forbidden in the east.

No, it's been like that for a few years now. You can see in GMaps that there're many "grey roads". Currently they're completely renovating Slovenska cesta, so all city buses have to take this terrible detour over congested Bleiweisova cesta.

Fighting over a parking lot in Naples. Homeowners try to keep occupied some public spaces with old furniture.

We were cleaning our flat for whole weekend and first I think I had formed a hypothesis, but now I am sure it is scientific law: If you want your girlfriend, fiancée or wife to talk to you, just turn on music and put your headphones on. You will surely hear some indistinct mumbling cutting in your music in less than five minutes.

I also have my own physics law . It states that if you see something crazy, then there is a crazier thing awaiting you. For example last September I spotted a bus which still showed an old endpoint of the route it was doing. Then several days later I saw another bus on the same line which showed the endpoints... of another line! But nothing will beat that I befriended a kid who got a really rare disease, and recently another kid of the same province got diagnosed with the very same disease!

Quote from today's La Repubblica (major Italian newspaper):

Quote:
Tigers in circus, that, according to laws must be kept in cages at least 8 square meters big, had been found in cages that were only 3 x 3 meters.

How would you say "eight meters square"? Which is a square eight meters on each side, thus 64 square meters.

"Square" as in "eight square meters" and "square" as in "eight meters square" are two different words in Italian
